Candlemas Candles

Candlemas Day, also called Candlemas, the Feast of the Presentation of Jesus Christ, and the Feast of the Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary, is an annual Christian holiday celebrated on February 2. The observance of Candlemas has a connection to both Jewish tradition and the Christian faith. In the Christian tradition, Candlemas commemorates the Presentation of Jesus in the Temple.
