Memorial Day History

Memorial Day, also known as Decoration Day, is a federal holiday in the United States to mourn US military personnel who have laid their lives while serving in the United States armed forces. It is observed on the last Monday in May annually but was observed on May 30th from 1868 to 1970, it was observed on May 30th.
